TRIP: Tuition Reduction Incentive Program

TRIP is a program in which families purchase gift certificates through Whitinsville Christian School to shop at major food, retail stores, and restaurants. The stores sell the certificates to us at a discount. The school then sells the certificates at face value to participating families and credits their tuition account with the difference. The percentage of credit earned will vary from store to store. Anyone in the community can participate, current families, future families, grandparents, friends, etc., and designate their TRIP earnings to the account of a presently enrolled family, a future family, or to Whitinsville Christian's Tuition Aid Fund.

There is no cost to participate.

The gift cards or certificates supplied by TRIP are the stores' actual gift cards or certificates. They are the same as cash; you can buy anything in the store that you would normally buy with cash, check, or credit card. Some stores will allow you to use certificates to make payments on charge accounts.

TRIP is offered to promote the education of students at WCS, therefore, the money collected on your account will only be paid to Whitinsville Christian School for tuition reduction. If your child(ren) no longer attends WCS for whatever reason, you may apply your credit to the balance of your tuition account, to another family's account, or to the Tuition Aid Fund.

TRIP uses 15 volunteers (mostly grandparents)every other week to run this program. It is with their efforts that we are able to offer this program.

Getting Started

  1. Call or stop at the TRIP office to receive a TRIP Starter Packet.
  2. Complete the TRIP Registration and Disclaimer Form in your Starter Packet and include the completed form with your first order. Current families will use their tuition number to sign up. Future families and other participants will be assigned their own TRIP number to use for this program after they submit their first order.
  3. Complete your first order using the order form and envelope provided for you in your Starter Packet. Additional order forms will be provided for you each time you pick up your TRIP order at the school. Make sure to fill out this form completely. Any stores or denominations not listed on the order form can be written at the bottom of the form and added to the total.
