MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive - Not pretty, but very functional, this site has substantial biographies of over 1300 famous mathematicians, indexed both alphabetically and chronologically, a topical index of math history, and an index of famous curves including (don't laugh) 'Pearls of Sluze' and 'Witch of Agnesi'. All biographies and articles are referenced, and you can search any or all subcategories.
