GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for a diploma from Whitinsville Christian High School, a student must complete the course of studies prescribed by the Whitinsville Christian High School Board of Directors. Students in the classes of 2009-2010 must successfully complete 124 credits. Beginning with the class of 2011, a student must successfully complete 121.5 credits. Most full-year courses are worth 5 credits each; most semester courses are worth 2.5 credits each. In order to be promoted , a freshman must successfully complete 30 credits, a sophomore must successfully complete 30 credits, a junior must successfully complete 30.5 credits, and a senior must complete 31 credits.
The required course of studies includes the following:
Bible* - 10 credits - 4 semester courses
English* - 20 credits - 4 full courses
Mathematics* - 10 credits - 2 full courses
Physical Science, Biology - 10 credits - 2 full courses
Health - 2.5 credits - 1 semester course
U.S. History, European History - 10 credits - 2 full courses
Government - 2.5 credits - 1 semester course
Physical Education 9 and 10 - 5 credits - 2 semester courses
Spanish I - 5 credits - 1 full course
Computer Applications I and II - 5 credits - 2 semester courses
Speech - 2.5 credits - 1 semester course
Junior Paper - 0.5 credit - Junior year
Senior Paper - 1 credit - Senior year
Service Hours - 15 hours per year

Keyboarding/***
***Only those students who do not meet the minimum requirement of 25 wpm/5 errors will be enrolled in keyboarding on a pass/fail basis. Course
credit is not earned for this class. If students are required to take the keyboarding class for any reason, they may join choir, band, or orchestra after
passing keyboarding. A grade for the courses which the student began late will not be given until second semester, and the student will earn 0.625
credits for the year.
