FIRST FRIDAYS AT WHITINSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

What are First Fridays?

• First Fridays are an opportunity for prospective students to connect with WCS in addition to the annually scheduled admissions events.  First Fridays give prospective students the opportunity to experience firsthand what it is like to be a student at WCS during an actual school day.

How do they work?

• Students are paired with a current WCS student and shadow them through a school day.
• Students receive a gift bag of WCS goodies and a free lunch.
• Parents receive information on what their child will be doing that day, who their buddy will be, what their child will be having for lunch, and when and where to return and pick them up.

 
What are the dates and deadlines?

• October 7, 2011 – deadline October 4, 2011
• November 4, 2011 – deadline November 1, 2011
• December 2, 2011 – deadline November 29, 2011
• January 6, 2012 – deadline January 3, 2012
• February 3, 2012 – deadline January 31, 2012
• March 2, 2012 – deadline February 28, 2012
• April 20, 2012 – deadline April 17, 2012
• May 4, 2012 – deadline May 1, 2012

How do I sign up?

• Advance notice is required in order to coordinate a shadow buddy for the visitor.  Students must reserve their spot by Tuesday during the week of the First Friday they would like to attend.  Deadlines for each First Friday are noted above.
• Space is limited, particularly in grades 6-7 – call 508-234-8211 ext. 11 or email admissions@wcs.mec.edu now to reserve your spot!

What if I cannot make a First Friday work for my schedule?

• Other opportunities are available for students to shadow during the school day.  If you cannot attend a First Friday, please call 508-234-8211 ext. 11 or email admissions@wcs.mec.edu to arrange an alternative date.
