The Writings of C.S. Lewis
This course focuses on a number of books written by Christian philosopher and novelist C.S. Lewis: Mere Christianity, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Surprised by Joy. Students will discuss the meaning of faith, what it is to live a genuine Christian life and how Christians are to live together in community. Films and outside readings may be used as we examine the role Christianity plays in society. There may be outside reading assigned as a pre-requisite during the first semester.
