Cold War America
This course will examine how the USA developed in the years following World War II. It will focus on the role of the USA in the Cold War and various issues in foreign policy(Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam...) as well as domestic developments such as Civil Rights, Counter Culture, The Great Society and the Watergate Affair. The primary text is Grand Expectations: The US, 1945-1974, and outside reading, films, and guest speakers may be used.
