Dedication of Peter T. Koopman Athletic Complex
Please put May 22 on your calendar as a special day to consider coming
to WCS. At 2:00 pm on that day, we will be dedicating the Peter T.
Koopman Athletic Complex, which comprises the track, soccer field
and athletic building located
above the playground area and next to the Kaitlin Koopman tennis
courts. This will be a special occasion to thank God and those
who were instrumental
in bringing this outstanding facility to completion for the benefit
of our students and athletes. The student body will participate
in this event,
and I hope many of you will be able to join us.
Looking Ahead
This summer, the Rams-Crusaders Basketball
Camp will once again be offered during the week of Jun. 30-Jul.
3. The Worcester County Premier Basketball Camp will be
held in the week of Aug. 4-7 with
enrollment limited to 36 participants, admitted on a first-come,
first-served basis. The second annual “Gym Rats” Camp will
also be offered again this summer in the week of Jul. 21-25. On
August 2, a one-day camp will be offered for boys going into grades 9-12,
and will be open to anyone from the community
as well as WCS students. The Jake Declute Soccer Clinic will
be run by Jake Declute, head coach at Gordon College and will cost $20.00
per person. Registration
forms for all of these camps will be available very soon in the
elementary and athletic offices.
Open try-outs for fall sports will begin for most of
our teams on Thu, Aug. 21. Please put that date on your calendars and
plan accordingly!
