Architectural Design with CAD (not offered 2009-2010)
This semester course will guide students through the design process as it applies to the fields of architecture and structural design. Students will be provided with opportunities to connect mathematics and physics to the art of design and structures. The mathematical aspects of creation and how that relates historically to architectural design will also be explored. Students will be exposed to a variety of architectural styles and architects through print and film. Being Christian in the field of architecture and its impact on design and stewardship will be explored. Technology will be an integral part of the course through the use of AutoCAD LT (computer-aided design software for house and landscape plans). The culmination of the course is a final design project drawn with the AutoCAD program.
