National Honor Societuy Inducts 21 New Members

Last Wednesday evening the John T. Bajema chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 21 new members. Dr. James LaDine addressed the audience. A trio of students presented special music. Rachel and Kristen were presented certificates of recognition as NHS Scholarship nominees. Rachel was recognized as Whitinsville Christian School’s first recipient of an NHS scholarship. In order to be eligible for the Honor Society, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate leadership, service, and good character. Awards Assembly and Cookout on May 29

High school parents and students, mark your calendars now for the 2008 Awards Assembly on Thu, May 29, at 11:45am. This is a great time for parents, faculty and staff to celebrate the contributions and achievements of our high school students. Although most awards are given to seniors, quite a few are also bestowed on underclassmen, so parents of all high school students are welcome to attend. Immediately following the ceremony, the Student Council will host a cookout for students and parents. We still need parents to volunteer to operate the grills as well as to bring cookies, brownies, or other small desserts. Please email Larry Masselink if you would like to join in the effort. Thank you for your support!
